Guillermo Gomez, the founder of Martial Fusion, started training Aikido in 1988 with Nelson Requena Sensei (7th Dan) at Venezuela Aikikai, and received his Shodan (first-degree black belt) from Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei (8th Dan) in 1996.

 

After moving to Miami in 1997, Guillermo continued practicing and teaching Aikido and Kickboxing at international events in countries including Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador. In addition, Guillermo has trained with Christian Tissier Sensei (8th Dan) at seminars in Japan, Russia, and Romania.

In 2016, Guillermo moved to Sarasota, Florida, and established Zenbu Dojo, where he currently teaches. Fluent in Spanish and English, Guillermo has extensive world travel experience, from healing shamanic rituals in the Amazon Jungle to China's legendary Shaolin Temple.

 

In 2023, Sensei Gomez received his 6th Dan in Aikido by Aikikai Hombu Dojo (Tokyo, Japan). In addition, he collaborates with multiple law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and international organizations throughout Europe and the Americas.
